So so
I started reading this series mainly because I enjoyed the Dune books Anderson co wrote. Whilst the general story is interesting, I have found his writing, plots and dialogue, a little simplistic. It's one of those books that telegraphs outcomes quite early, if you read the first book, you sort of know the general arc of the next books. There is also a lot of glossing over of technology, organisms etc... which could have made the book/s a lot more interesting and would have helped to draw the reader into the universe Anderson has created. The main reason I continue is that I have come so far, I have to keep going. Will be a bit more strict with any new series - will probably buy the first one, but if any of the issues in the Saga of the Seven Suns occur, I will not be purchasing the second, or third....
